Handmade milagros (miracle) charm magnets made from cans, by ‘artesanos’ in Mexico. Various magnets are available; skulls, skeletons and hearts.
Milagros are charms used for requests, for protection, and as a source of good luck. The word Milagro in Spanish means “miracle” or “surprise” and people in the past and present use them as symbols to wish others good luck, good health, and hope for the future.
Milagros would have traditionally been given to the preferred saint in the hope of a pray answered or to give thanks for a pray answered. Hearts would represent a romantic connection. The objects are made from tin, a metal that is light, has strength and has similar visual qualities as silver.
