Um höfundur Hilary Robertson has not been able to resist moving other people’s furniture around since her mother allowed her to redecorate her childhood bedroom, aged 8. Luckily she discovered that this was a job and contrived to spend the first years of her career as an editorial stylist at Metropolitan Home before freelancing for Elle, The Times (UK), Livingetc, House & Garden and many interiors brands.
She likes to work in a European way, tackling everything from location-finding to furniture design. As Creative Director for Canvas, she oversaw product development, catalog design and visual merchandising. In 2019, she developed a range of decorative accessories for startup, Bloomist (more products to be launched Spring 2020).
Over the years she has conceived, art directed and written 5 books. This year she is working on a new editorial project, Nomad at Home (Ryland, Peters & Small 2021) which examines the influence of travel on home design.
